Weekly Inspiration#5 (Delayed)

Guild of Food Writers
http://www.logodesignlove.com/negative-space-logo-design

For this week's source of inspiration, I decided to point out the importance of both positive space AND negative space when it comes to design. I figured there would be no better way of doing so than to provide a set of logo designs found on this wonderful logo website, http://www.logodesignlove.com. This set of logos was produced by making creative use of the negative space of the lettering and incorporated hidden images to make the logo design that much more appealing. This concept of making good use of both positive and negative space shouldn't be limited to just logo designs, but to everything else design related as well.

Weekly Inspiration#4 (Delayed)

I thought that these set of environmental designs were very intriguing. It really does open your eyes to a variety of possibility when it comes to using the environment and integrating it as part of your design. Since our class is currently in the process of making an ad for a specific product, I thought that this post might spark some interesting ideas at the last minute. I figure this may also help everybody get an idea as to what medium may be used to put your ad on...whether it be billboards, webpages, bus stops, etc.

Have you ever been faced with issues related to kerning? Never knew how many increments you should move to the left or to the right? Well.....now you can improve on your kerning by taking a look at this link below. It is as fun as you make it to be, and it can also improve your kerning abilities drastically. You will be scored on how well you kern these letters and you will then be compared to typographers way of kerning. If you have trouble kerning in general, this is a MUST.
